In the December 2021 newsletter, Seth Rotberg, Co-Founder and Board Chair, shared that it was time to take a step back for personal reasons. And earlier this year, Anna Laurent, Head of Programming and Initiatives, moved to new opportunities as well. But as Seth reminded us in his transition announcement: “It has been amazing to see how this organization has evolved from concept to a vibrant community in such a short time…[and] what naturally happens during growth, there comes a time to pause and reflect…”.

So to help ensure a smooth transition, the Our Odyssey Board of Directors has hired an Interim Executive Director. With a Certification in Nonprofit Interim Executive Director management, Susannah Erler comes to Our Odyssey with a history of leading nonprofit organizations during executive transitions. For example, she was the Interim CEO of the Literacy Coalition of Central Texas and was Interim Director for Hearts Unite the Globe – a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering the congenital heart defects community. She holds a master’s degree in Business with an Arts Administration (Nonprofit) specialization from the University of Wisconsin School of Business, a bachelor’s degree from Oberlin College and is a CFRE – Certified Fund Raising Executive.

Susannah notes: “I am delighted to support Our Odyssey’s mission and excited to connect with community members to learn how the organization can take our mission and services to the next level.” Please do reach out to Susannah with your thoughts and feedback: InterimED@OurOdyssey.org. And watch this space for more news about continuing developments. Thank you so very much for your support of Our Odyssey.
