New Program: The Our Odyssey Empower Series

Our Odyssey is pleased to announce a new program: The Our Odyssey Empower Series. This series of online virtual workshops are designed to support Our Odyssey’s mission of connecting young adults impacted by a rare or chronic condition with social and emotional support in the hope of improving their quality of life. Join us for the first in the new Empower Series:

Becoming Stress Free 

October 19th and 26th at 6:30 p.m. EST

Free and Virtual

Take time for yourself and join us for this free opportunity to learn, practice and discuss ways to manage stress. This interactive live virtual workshop will focus on support systems, coping skills and other resources to help reduce stress levels. Presenter Staci Oakes, a Licensed Social Service Worker (SSW), has designed this opportunity especially for young adults (18-35) with rare and chronic conditions. Each session will provide a different focus, so sign up for one or both in the two-part series. Spots are limited – so register for this special Our Odyssey Empower Series offering now.

About Presenter Staci Oakes: Staci has a bachelor's degree in Social Work from Brigham Young University a Child Welfare Certificate and has been licensed as a Social Service Worker (SSW) for over 16 years working with at-risk youth, adults, and families with mental illness. Staci’s ambition is to make a difference in the world and has spent many years working with kids and adults with mental illness, physical and mental disabilities, and behavior concerns. Staci has worked with over 1,000 clients during her time as a social worker. Ask Staci about her fascinating humanitarian trip to Thailand.
